During the limited-time event, both PC and Xbox players will be able to access and play the free games even without a paid subscription. Although Xbox did add a few Game Pass exclusive offerings alongside the newest Free Play Days announcement, which will only be available if you have an Essential membership or higher, you can still enjoy a majority of these titles without the need for any extra payments or subscriptions of any kind. Xbox And PC Players Can Enjoy These 5 Games Completely Free As shared by Xbox Wire, the first major game arriving for free will be the hit extraction shooter Arc Raiders, which you'll be able to download and play as much as you want from now until October 11, just in time for its massive Frozen Trail Expansion. The rest of the weekend's Free Play Day offerings are a bit more limiting, however, with the following games available as timed trials, rather than temporary access trials: ARC Raiders (Until October 13) High On Life 2 (Timed Trial) Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl (Timed Trial) Little Nightmares 2 (Timed Trial) Rogue Waters (Timed Trial) While most of these experiences are limited by how far you'll actually be able to get before your timer runs out, all of the offerings are currently on sale to let you pick up and continue their stories right away if you wind up getting hooked on their gameplay premise or story. Game Pass Also Offers 2 New Games For The Weekend If you do happen to already own an Xbox Game Pass membership, even the lowest tier will grant you temporary access to two new releases with Screamer and Family Man from now until Sunday, October 11. Given that Screamer is a $60 game with a relatively short story, the limited window is a great chance to play through the highly rated racing game and experience its story without worrying about the cost, although if you do want to get more out of the anime-inspired thrill ride, it's also on sale for 60 percent off at the same time through Xbox.
