Xbox Game Pass Is Giving Subscribers New Titles, And An Early Look At Gears Of War: E-Day Published Aug 4, 2026, 2:47 PM EDT Sign in to your TheGamer account The first wave of new games coming to Xbox Game Pass for August has been revealed. The biggest pull here is access to a Gears of War: E-Day open beta, letting Game Pass subscribers play the game early at no extra charge. That open beta will be available to everyone with either Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass. It will kick off on August 6, so this Thursday. It will run until August 10, before we get a second wave a few days later, from August 13 to 17. You Don’t Need To Pre-Order Gears Of War: E-Day To Access The Early Access Open Beta Before this announcement, the only way to access these open betas would have been to pre-order Gears of War: E-Day. However, this negates the need for that entirely, only requiring a valid Game Pass subscription. You can get the beta downloaded now so you can play as soon as the servers are online. Plenty of other offerings are coming to Game Pass this month as well. Beast of Reincarnation launched on all platforms today, so that's a brand new title for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers to get stuck into - although admittedly, early reviews are not great. Still, it will be interesting to see how Game Freak gets on with a non-Pokemon project. As for Date Everything, that has been out for some time, but it is absolutely worth checking out if you haven't already. This comedic dating sim showcases phenomenal talent from the likes of Ashley Johnson, Anjali Bhimani, Ben Starr, Neil Newbon, and many, many more. Better yet, they all play as the personification of various pieces of furniture and everyday items you find in your house. The bed is really hot - I remember that well.
