Xbox Game Pass Drops 13 More Free Games In September 2026

Xbox Game Pass is getting another major batch of games this month, with Microsoft announcing 13 more titles coming to the service over the next few weeks. It will be available through the cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld devices, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers. Also arriving on September 16 is Planet of Lana 2, follow-up to the cinematic puzzle-platformer. Players once again take control of Lana and her companion Mui while solving puzzles and exploring a world facing new dangers. Routine, meanwhile, takes things in a much darker direction. Set on an abandoned lunar base inspired by an ’80s vision of the future, the first-person horror game asks players to investigate the facility while dealing with unknown threats. If you want something a little less stressful than the names above, Ultimate Sheep Raccoon also launches on September 16. It is a party racing game where players can build their own courses, throw obstacles and traps into the mix, and then race through them with friends. Moving forward, September 17 brings two more games: Kernel Hearts is a day-one Game Pass release combining action RPG combat with roguelike elements, while Ninja Gaiden 4 marks the return of one of gaming's most recognizable action franchises. And then, things get even more interesting on September 22, when Dune: Awakening joins the service. Funcom’s survival game lets players explore, build, craft, and survive on Arrakis in a setting that combines single-player and multiplayer elements. But that’s not it for September 22. Well Dweller, a dark fairy-tale Metroidvania starring a tiny bird armed with a matchstick, arrives the same day. And then shortly after the clock hits September 23, Mad King Redemption adds another roguelite option to your Xbox Game Pass collection, this time mixing beat-'em-up combat with pixel-art visuals. One of the biggest additions arrives on September 25, when Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 comes to Game Pass Premium, joining Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The game includes its single-player campaign, multiplayer, and round-based Zombies mode. The month closes with Minecraft Dungeons II on September 29. Available day one on Game Pass, the sequel takes players into a new dimension called the Sift, with new areas to explore, enemies to fight, and gear to customize.
