Wynonna Judd’s Pregnant Daughter Denied Jail Release to Give Birth

Court documents recently revealed that Wynonna Judd’s daughter Grace Kelley is currently pregnant behind bars, with her request to be temporarily released to give birth to her second baby denied. While the 30-year-old daughter of Wynonna Judd filed a request to be temporarily released from prison to give birth to her second child, the request was denied by a judge in July, according to court documents obtained by E! News Aug. 27. Kelley is currently serving a 15-month sentence in Virginia’s Rockingham County Jail after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license following her October 2025 arrest. The July 2 filing made on Kelley’s behalf revealed she was pregnant and due to give birth “on or about Aug. 16, 2026.” Her lawyer Robert G. Munro asked that she be released from prison while she gives birth in a hospital, where she would “be confined to bed” for three days following the birth. Munro argued that keeping Kelley incarcerated during this time would “complicate the delivery of the child,” prevent the father of the baby (who was not identified) as well as other family members from being present or visiting Kelley and would require “a significant investment of time and resources” from the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office to guard her while in hospital.At the time, according to the filing, Captain Wimer of the Rockingham County Sheriff’s office “supports a furlough” for Kelley. The request, however, was denied by Judge Clark A. Ritchie. It has not been confirmed whether Kelley has since given birth.Facebook/Grace KelleyKelley is also mom to 4-year-old Kaliyah Grace, to whom she gave birth while on a leave of absence from jail as she was serving time for a parole violation stemming from a 2016 arrest. Kaliyah has lived with her grandmother, Judd, in the time since. And while Judd has kept the details of her life with Kaliyah largely out of the spotlight, she previously made a rare comment about how raising the young girl has brought her further into the 21st century. "I don’t have a computer," the country singer admitted during an appearance on TODAY With Jenna & Friends in January 2025.
