Summerslam weekend has arrived and WWE's biggest party of the year is shaping up to be a memorable one.After the success of last year, the 39th annual edition of WWE Summerslam will, once again, be held across both Saturday and Sunday, this time taking place at the U.S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.Debuting on August 29, 1988, Summerslam is considered as one of WWE’s biggest Premium Live Event's (PLE) along with WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series and Money in the Bank.Since it's inception, many unforgettable moments have been provided at Summerslam. From the British Bulldog defeating Bret Hart for the Intercontinental championship at Wembley Stadium to Brock Lesnar dismantling John Cena in 2014, it's an event that rarely fails to deliver.Summerslam has become rather synonymous with 'the beast'. Lesnar captured his first singles title in 2002, defeating none other than The Rock and has since had battles at this very event with the likes of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Triple H and the Undertaker.One of many marquee matches at Summerslam 2026 features Lesnar as he takes on the dangerous Oba Femi inside 'Hell in a Cell'.
