Countless characters have fallen foul of the floating fiends but will you? The Sharknado franchise is a series of six made-for-television films that combines sci-fi, comedy and horror. The films were released between 2013 and 2018 on the Syfy channel. Now considered a cult classic, the films weren’t original destined for greatness. The unusual disaster movie began to trend online, catching the attention of several celebrities. Just like that, a fan-favourite was born. It’s got an IMDb score of 3.3 but a 78% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film was given a special midnight showing by Regal Cinemas on 2nd August 2013.
