World’s ‘youngest king’ who was crowned at just three-years-old dies aged 34 after secret illness

The news of his sudden death was announced by the country’s prime minister Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki. He posted on X: “It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I announce the passing of His Majesty the Omukama of Tooro, King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.” He added that the king died at around 10pm local time on Thursday without revealing the cause of his death. The late King leaves behind a son whose identity has not been revealed. Rukidi IV was crowned at just three years old on September 12, 1995 after the death of his father, Rukirabasaija Patrick David Matthew Kaboyo Olimi III.
