THE world’s highest-paid managers have been revealed with the Premier League boasting four of the top ten. Taking charge of a football team is seemingly one of the most thankless tasks in the sport. Simone Inzaghi is the highest-paid manager in the world with his yearly salary of £22.34MILLION at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia. Arsenal and Chelsea are also splashing the cash on their two managers Mikel Arteta and Xabi Alonso. The pair are the third and fifth best-paid managers in the word. The Gunners are rewarding Arteta with a yearly wage of £15m which has paid off after their Premier League title last term Arteta could be set for a pay rise in the near future with his current deal set to expire in 2027. Alonso only joined Chelsea in the summer as the successor to Enzo Maresca. Atletico Madrid‘s iconic manager Diego Simeone is the second-highest earner as a manager. All of them are above Real Madrid’s Jose Mourinho and Paris Saint-Germain‘s Luis Enrique who both earn £10.31m every year. Mourinho returned to Real in the summer on a three-year contract. Enrique’s deal runs out in 2027 despite him winning the Champions League in each of the last two seasons. Former Chelsea boss Maresca has landed on his feet since taking over at Manchester City. The Italian is being paid £10m per year at the Etihad and is the ninth highest-earning manager out there. Liverpool’s Andoni Iraola and Aston Villa’s Unai Emery both miss out on the top ten with their £8m yearly salary. Comment now
