World Muslim League, Bahrain condemn drone attack on Saudi Arabia

The Muslim World League and Bahrain have condemned the drone attacks originating from Iraq on the East-West pipeline in Saudi Arabia, which has led to the closure of the key pipeline. In a statement, World Muslim League secretary-general Mohammed bin Abdulkarim al-Issa said the attacks “violate all religious values, international and humanitarian laws and norms”. Bahraini foreign ministry said in a statement, carried by Bahrain News Agency, that the attack was a “blatant violation” of international law, the UN Charter and principles of good neighbourliness. The ministry said Bahrain stood in full solidarity with Saudi Arabia. While stressing that no country’s territory should be used as a launching pad for attacks on neighbouring countries, the ministry expressed support for Iraqi efforts to prevent similar attacks from recurring.
