During the tournament he also embraced American culture by spending nearly $10,000 on cowboy boots, a shirt that says: “You can kiss my Dallas” and he even bought a $750 stuffed raccoon. Haaland and Vozinha topped the Insta list but were followed by England‘s Jude Bellingham, whose count increased by 12m from 41.3m to 53.3m. Bellingham was England’s best player of the tournament as his seven goals helped the team reach the semi-finals. Cristiano Ronaldo also enjoyed a surge in followers, despite having 665.6m before the tournament started. He now has 677m. World Cup winner Lamine Yamal saw a similar increase as his total went up by 11m to 54.3m, while runner-up Lionel Messi‘s went up by 7.5m from 506.5m to 514m. Mexico‘s up-and-coming teenage star Gilberto Mora also enjoyed a rise in fame as he went from 1.1m followers to 7.7m. France forward Michael Olise continued his increase in popularity with 5.7m extra followers. And Real Madrid flop Endrick went from 18.3m to 23.9m – despite not even starting a game for Brazil.
