Woman ‘sexually assaulted’ in broad daylight attack at country park – as cops hunt man in his 30s

A WOMAN was allegedly sexually assaulted at a park in a sickening broad daylight attack. Cops have stepped up patrols in the area as detectives hunt a man described as white and aged in his 30s. The sexual assault reportedly happened in a wooded area of Newstead and Annesley Country Park in Nottinghamshire. The force said the incident occurred shortly after 11am on Tuesday (August 4). Detective Inspector Ed Cook, of Nottinghamshire Police, has sought to reassure the community. He said: “While incidents of this nature are extremely rare, they are obviously very concerning for the public. “I would like to reassure people we have a large team of officers working on this investigation and we are doing everything we can to find the person responsible. “The suspect has been described as a white man aged in his 30s. “Public safety remains our top priority and extra patrols will continue to be carried out in the area.
