Woman refuses to sell land, husband kills her with electric shocks to private parts

Nasreen and Israr had been married for around 13 years and have four daughters and a son.Her family claimed that the land dispute led to repeated threats and violence against her. They said Israr had threatened to kill her sooner or later if she did not comply with his demands. Her sister, Haseen Jahan, said that Nasreen had recently suffered injuries but concealed the abuse from her family.“She came home perfectly fine, but there were injuries on her face,” Jahan said, adding that Nasreen had not disclosed what had happened to her.Additional Superintendent of Police, Rampur, Anurag Singh, said a case was registered on a complaint by the victim’s uncle, who accused her in-laws also of being involved in her murder.The officer said the post-mortem report had confirmed multiple injuries caused by electric shocks.“The post-mortem report shows injuries at six places, including multiple burn injuries caused by electric shock.
