Woman in her 80s dies and another injured after being hit by Kia in Morrisons car park

AN 80-YEAR-OLD woman has died after she was hit by a car in a supermarket car park. Police rushed to the Morrisons car park just after 12pm yesterday following reports that a Kia Soul had collided with two pedestrians and several other vehicles. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene on Walpole Road, Gosport, Hampshire. Hampshire Police have appealed for anyone with dashcam footage to contact the force. A spokesperson for the force said: ” We are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal collision in Gosport. “Police were called at 12.06pm this afternoon (Friday 21 August), to a report of a collision in the car park of Morrisons on Walpole Road. “It was reported that a grey Kia Soul was driven into the car park before colliding with two pedestrians and several other parked and moving vehicles. “One of the pedestrians, a woman in her 80s, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. “A second person reported minor injuries. “We will be reviewing CCTV and other lines of enquiry, but would also like to speak to any witnesses and anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
