The man continued filming as she approached him and grabbed his backpack.It all started when the pedestrian was walking along the street and a car almost hit him. The man had started recording the incident on his phone when the woman got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and walked towards him.She was heard telling him that recording her was not legal before reaching towards his phone.The situation quickly escalated. The woman grabbed the man by his backpack and tried to pull him towards the side of the road as he continued filming. “I’m going to defend myself,” the man repeatedly said while trying to distance himself from her.However, the woman continued asking him to come towards the side of the road, while the man insisted, “I was just walking.” Her husband, who had been driving the vehicle, then stepped out and appeared to apologise to the pedestrian. Replying to him, the man said, “She touched me, I’m going to call the police.”Shortly afterwards, the police arrived at the scene and arrested the woman.As she sat inside a police vehicle, the man filming the incident turned his camera towards her and shouted at the husband, “Hey, your wife’s a criminal. You’re going to jail.”The man also claimed that the woman's husband was driving the car without valid insurance. But, there has been no official comment from authorities on that claim or the circumstances surrounding the reported arrest, beyond the footage circulating online.Watch the video here:The video has opened up a debate on social media over the confrontation and whether the woman could legally prevent the pedestrian from recording her in a public place.Many users criticised her actions, particularly her attempt to stop the man from filming before grabbing him by his backpack.
