One woman has turned that question into a solo travel challenge, sharing her attempts to keep costs down as she moves from one state to another. She says she has covered six states for just Rs 2,000 so far.The woman, who posts on Instagram under the handle @flyyingxfishh, shared a video explaining the idea behind her solo travel challenge. Her goal is to explore the entire country without spending more than Rs 10,000, although she admits she is unsure whether she will be able to pull it off.Explaining the difference between her budget and what people might typically set aside for a holiday, she said, “10,000 budget hota hoga tumhara sirf ek jagah ghoomne ka, lekin mera poora India ghoomne ka. Sounds like a joke, right? It’s not a joke; it's a challenge jo maine khud ko diya hai (You might have a budget of Rs 10,000 to travel to just one destination, but I plan to explore the entire country with that amount. Sounds like a joke, right? It isn't a joke; it's a challenge I have set for myself)."She even gave an idea of her expenses till now. "Ab tak main 6 states cover kar chuki hun, aur usme mere kharch hue hain 2,000 rupees (So far, I have covered six states and spent Rs 2,000)," she added. The creator acknowledged that the journey ahead could be difficult, with no guarantee that her budget would stretch across the country.“But wait, abhi toh poora India ghoomna baaki hai. Mujhe nahi pata ki main apne 10,000 ke budget mein poora India ghoom paungi ya nahi. Paise khatam, toh challenge wahi khatam ho jayega. But I don't know, toh kya main yeh challenge complete kar paungi? (But wait, I still have the entire country left to explore. I don't know whether I will be able to travel across India within my Rs 10,000 budget. Once the money runs out, the challenge will be over. So, will I be able to complete it?)” The caption accompanying her challenge video read, “Trying travelling India under 10K! Connect to the journey to know whether I will really survive or give up in the middle, because the challenge isn’t easy; it’s a hustle.”Watch the videos here:Her Instagram videos offer a glimpse into how she is trying to keep costs down. In some clips, she is seen asking people for free food, while others show her dealing with train delays and spending time at railway stations. These moments offer a sense of the compromises and unexpected situations that come with travelling on such a tight budget. Her challenge has drawn mixed responses from Instagram users. While several people cheered her on and expressed curiosity about how far she could travel, others questioned whether the budget would be enough to cover an entire country. Some users also urged her to prioritise her safety while travelling alone, pointing out that keeping expenses low should not come at the cost of personal security. For now, the journey is still underway, and whether she can make Rs 10,000 last across India remains to be seen.- Ends
