WNBA couple Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd secretly split ‘over a year’ ago, beg fans to stop commenting on romance

WNBA players Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd revealed they secretly parted ways a year ago — before Fudd was drafted into the Dallas Wings in April. “Paige and I have something we want to share with everyone,” Fudd began during the “Fudd Around and Find Out” podcast on Friday, which saw Bueckers appear as a guest. “We are no longer together.” The former couple — who both play for the Wings — giggled throughout the announcement, with Bueckers clarifying, “It’s been a while. Getty Images Bueckers, 25, said her former partner “was not drafted because she was my girlfriend, she was drafted because she deserved it.” “She’s an amazing human, amazing basketball player, and we’re still friends,” she explained, adding, “we’re still cool.” Bueckers described their post-split relationship as “the utmost professional” and noted that though they are “at different points” in their lives, they “still support each other.” There will be a point, Bueckers noted, that they both “will eventually move on.” The pair giggled as they made the announcement on Friday’s “Fudd Around and Find Out” podcast episode, as seen above. We want the best for each other, and all the negative things can be put aside.” Bueckers confirmed her romance with Fudd back in July 2025, after months of dating speculation during a red carpet interview with WAG Talk “How well do you know your D1 girlfriend?” they asked, after which the WNBA guard correctly answered several questions about Fudd.
