Published September 20, 2026 10:14 AM With eight catches for 92 yards, two touchdowns, and a two-point conversion in a nutty Week 1 win over the Packers, Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson has 587 career receptions. His next one will be a significant one.Via NBC Sports research, Jefferson is tied with Randy Moss on the franchise’s all-time catch list. Jefferson’s 588th will put him all alone in second place. He still has a long way to go to set the Vikings’ record. Cris Carter holds it, with 1,004 receptions. Jefferson needs another 418 to break Carter’s mark.Jefferson is young enough and good enough to get there. The question is whether, unlike Moss, Jefferson remains in Minnesota long enough to do it. The more important objective for Jefferson and the Vikings on Sunday will be to extend a streak of six straight wins in Chicago. The Vikings are also 8-2 against the Bears since 2021.And while these Bears seem to be very different than Bears teams of the recent past (as evidenced by the 59 points scored in Week 1 at Carolina), it’s going to be a rainy day in the Windy City, which could take some steam out of both offenses.
With his next catch, Justin Jefferson will pass Randy Moss on Vikings' all-time list
