Kunhimohammed Madani Parappur inaugurating the Blueprint Ideathon held in Kozhikode on September 27. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT The Wisdom Islamic Organisation has called for the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, citing concerns over public trust in the electoral process and the functioning of the Election Commission.The demand was made at a function titled Blueprint Ideathon, organised by the organisation in Kozhikode on Sunday (September 27). Wisdom said allegations against the Election Commission and reported dissent notes by its members should be examined seriously.The organisation also called for clear answers to concerns over the revision of electoral rolls and other aspects of the Commission’s functioning. It said the Election Commission must function independently and impartially to protect public confidence in the electoral system.Wisdom demanded a comprehensive and transparent inquiry into the issues raised and urged the Union government to intervene to prevent any erosion of public trust in the electoral process.Wisdom State vice-president C.
