Wildlife rescuers horrified after mass pūkeko poisoning

Wildlife staff were confronted with a distressing scene of dead and dying pūkeko beside Willowbank Wildlife Reserve this week, after what appears to have been a deliberate poisoning using toxic “sleepy wheat”.
