School students look at photographs at the WildVizag 2.0 exhibition at Hawa Mahal in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Nearly 150 photographs showcasing India’s rich wildlife and biodiversity, from tigers in their forest strongholds to the diverse landscapes across the country, are drawing visitors to Hawa Mahal on Beach Road in Visakhapatnam.The exhibition, WildVizag 2.0, was inaugurated on Saturday as part of World Wildlife Week 2026. Ravindra Dhama, Divisional Forest Officer, Visakhapatnam, formally opened the exhibition as the chief guest. Bobbili MLA Swethakumar Rangarao Bobbili attended as the special guest. Members of the Nagarjunasagar Srisailam Tiger Reserve (NSTR) team were also present.The exhibition features the work of 25 wildlife photographers, with photographs from four States highlighting India’s biodiversity, landscapes and wildlife. It also seeks to create awareness about the forests and wildlife of Andhra Pradesh.The NSTR team has set up a stall displaying wildlife rescue kits and equipment, offering visitors an opportunity to interact with its staff and learn about the use of the equipment, field protection and conservation efforts.The exhibition received an encouraging response from students and the public on the opening day. About 85 students from Silver Oaks International School and 30 students from St. Joseph’s Women’s College visited the gallery.The exhibition will be open on October 4 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Hawa Mahal, Beach Road.
