A wife smeared her own faeces in her husband's mouth during an argument at their £1million farmhouse for 'not standing up for her' at the pub. Alison Moore subjected Mr Moore to several violent attacks over a 'lengthy period' before forcing her excrement into his mouth, Southampton Crown Court heard. On August 20 of this year, the 63-year-old pushed her husband onto their bed at their £1million farmhouse in Damerham, New Forest. During the vile attack, she accused her husband of 'not standing up for her' at a pub while also lambasting him as 'boring'. As the incident unfolded, the housewife told Mr Moore: 'You talk so much s**t, I'm going to make you eat it'.After she smeared faeces on him, Mr Moore broke free and went to wash his mouth out and change his clothes, Andrew Coley, prosecuting, said. Before cleaning himself, he took a picture of himself smeared in faeces, which was shown to the court. Police were called to the scene, and Moore was arrested. However, she did not comment during her interview. She later submitted a written statement which was 'a bare denial', Mr Coley said. Her husband alleged Moore had previously struck him in the back with a broom handle as well as having hit him in the face while wearing a wedding ring. Photographs taken following the incidents in March 2024 and August 2026 show a cut above his eye and a small injury and reddening to his back, the court heard.Three days after the broom incident, the couple had spent the afternoon at a pub where they argued about when to leave. On the way home, they stopped at another pub, but staff refused to serve the defendant, and they returned home. Alison Moore, 63, (pictured in 2023) smeared faeces across her husband's face in a degrading act of violence in August of this year Yesterday, Moore walked out of court with her husband after she was handed an 18-month suspended prison sentenceMoore claimed her husband 'had not stood up for her' in the incident and labelled him 'boring', the prosecution added. There was 'ongoing bad feeling' in the atmosphere before Moore targeted him around 6pm in what Mr Coley described as a 'pre-meditated' attack.Mr Moore had provided a victim impact statement; however, he asked for it not to be read in open court, adding that he did not support a restraining order. Rose Burns, defending, said Moore 'completely regrets' her actions against her husband and took 'full blame'. However, she added that her behaviour was a result of 'a perception of an imbalance in the relationship'.'She accepts no amount of poor behaviour by Mr Moore could justify her actions towards him,' she added. Moore had self-referred for private mental health care at the Priory to 'review' her relationship with alcohol, the court heard. She had also received treatment for depression, which came following the death of her father and mother in 2024 and 2025.The court also heard Moore's sister had died earlier this year after suffering a head injury from falling down a set of stairs. The housewife had also recently suffered the death of an uncle as well as her dog, the defence added.'The whole situation drove her into a very deep depression; she felt trapped and frustrated with her life,' Mrs Burns said. 'Her husband controlled the finances, she wanted to sell up, and he didn't.'A lack of self-control drove her to do these things; in her right mind, she wouldn't have done them.'She is determined her behaviour will change and she wants to try and see if a reconciliation [with her husband] is possible.'She previously pleaded guilty to three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.Judge Gary Lucie said Mr Moore's statement was 'magnanimous' despite the offences against him, and said the effect on him was 'plain'.'The use of faeces was a gratuitous degradation of the victim, he said. 'You've plainly had a difficult time over the last few years with the death of your parents and other personal circumstances - none of that excuses this behaviour.'I see day in, day out, people who abuse alcohol and it is the root of their offending. You don't seem to yet accept that is your case.'Moore, who was handed an 18-month suspended prison sentence, left the courthouse with her husband, who had sat in on the hearing. The 63-year-old, who had spent three weeks on remand at HMP Bronzefield, is understood to now be living in an Airbnb in Dorset. Moore has previous convictions for driving with excess alcohol as well as assault by beating and using violence to secure entry to a premises. The offences relate to an incident in the village on April 6, 2022.Moore, who was reportedly 'besotted' with her builder, had turned up at his address and attacked his partner on the doorstep, tearing out a clump of her hair. She initially denied the charges but was later found guilty at Southampton Magistrates' Court. For this offence, she was given a 12-month restraining order and banned from entering a Damerham street for a year.At the time, she was ordered to undergo rehabilitation activity and complete 100 hours of unpaid community work. She was also told to pay £500 in compensation to the assault victim, as well as £715 in court charges.
