However, she admitted she did get a lot of rejections before landing her role in Obsession. She told Schon: “[I had] A lot of ‘no’s.’ A lot of auditions that never went anywhere — which turned out to be a lot of learning as well. “Learning how to take that rejection and redirect it into constructive criticism. That allowed me to fully give Nikki my all. While this may seem surprising for a relatively new kid on the block, Inde is booked and busy, having just been revealed as the star of the next X-Men movie for Marvel – which is tipped for a 2028 release. Inde will play the role of Rogue, alongside Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey and Adam Driver as villain Nathaniel Milbury. Due to this commitment, a source confirmed she will no longer be joining the likes of Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio in Heat 2, where she was due to play Sharlene, originally played by Ashley Judd. Born Danielle Fabiola Navarrette, the aspiring star attended 11 different schools before turning 15 and frequently moved across the country, thanks to her Mexican father being a pilot in the Marine Corps. Instead of seeing this transient lifestyle as a setback, she used the relocations to reinvent herself. Inde shared how her acting career began when her single mum sent her to a programme at the YMCA over summer and she fell in love with drama and dance. She told People: “I remember just having so much fun with it, because I felt like I was in the movies that my mum would watch right before we were going to bed. I remember her watching Gladiator, Moulin Rouge! and Alien, which are all movies that are extreme for kids to watch. “Then that teacher went to my mum and was like, ‘She’s got something.’ So my mum tucked that into her little back pocket, and then anytime that I wanted to go do school plays or anything like that, she would be my biggest supporter. “We did everything humanly possible to get here. I graduated school early so that I could work jobs to pay for headshots, all of this stuff. And then finally, we’re here.” In past interviews, Inde – who now boasts 4.9million followers on Instagram – has shared her commitment to building a long and stable career. She told Nylon: “I really want to prove that ‘Obsession’ wasn’t just lightning in a bottle. “This is something that I really love and want to continue doing, but of course that’s going to take time. “I want people to take that time to trust that I have that capability. “I also want to fall on my face publicly and have something that people don’t like, [but] maybe I do.” In her personal life, Inde is thought to be dating indie musician Nick Aiello after they were seen together holding hands outside LA’s famous Chateau Marmont. As part of her new campaign with Gap, she opened up about what surprises people most when they first meet her. She answered: “I’m five feet tall. I’ve gotten a lot where people are meeting me in real life, and they’re like, ‘You’re a lot smaller than I thought you were.’ “And I was like… ‘How big did you think I was?'” Speaking of what her ideal film role would be, Inde revealed: “Oh my god, I would LOVE to try the Assassin trope.
