Why New ‘The Voice’ Coach Riley Green Is Having a Hard Time “Adjusting”

The Voice is gearing up for season 30, and some brand-new coaches are incoming. In addition to veteran coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, Queen Latifah and Riley Green have joined the show—which is already filming blind auditions and battle rounds. And while Queen Latifah is reportedly killing it on set, apparently country musician Riley is having “a harder time adjusting.” An insider tells The Sun that “It’s his first big Hollywood type of gig so it’s not that he’s bad at it but you can tell he’s more shy and hesitant. He’s slowly finding his footing though.”Producers plan to bring Riley back for another season (the source says: “He is coming back next season so ready or not, here he comes”), but note that “production is nervous about how he’ll be perceived, if America will enjoy him as much as the other coaches who are bigger household names.”Add Cosmopolitan as a preferred source in your Google search results.Use your Google account to add this to your settings. They add that Riley is “quiet and more timid,” while Kelly Clarkson is “her usual talkative, bubbly self,” and that Adam Levine and Queen Latifah had some tough critiques for contestants.Per the source, “I’d say her and Adam were the strictest with their feedback. Queen Latifah was basically like the Simon Cowell of the group, giving harsher critique that garnered some gasps from the audience, but overall the crowd loved her.”Reminder: The Voice returns for season 30 in September!
