MEGHAN Markle’s acting comeback as a “temptress” in Guy Ritchie’s show The Gentlemen may turn out to be a “dull” affair, a royal expert has claimed. Meghan, who we revealed last week is returning to the UK imminently with Prince Harry and their two kids, has a strong relationship with TV giants Netflix. The Duchess, 45, is said to be “very excited” at the prospect of acting again, and it is believed to be a key reason why she and Harry are coming back from the States. Meghan is set to play a “temptress” in the Netflix gangster-comedy about an aristocratic family who turn to crime. Royal expert Hugo Vickers has now weighed in with his opinion on her potential acting comeback and believes the new series will be a completely different role for Meghan despite the description. Speaking exclusively to The Sun, he said: “I suspect that there won’t be sort of raunchy scenes and things, but I could be wrong. “I think it’s very unlikely because I think that she will consider that her mere presence in the series will justify the fee that she will be being paid and therefore there’s no need to go too far.” However, the royal biographer did concede that you cannot get it all your own way as an actor. I think she’ll be putting all sorts of clauses and boundaries in, because that’s the way she operates.” The main character is a duke who formerly served in the Army — just like Meghan’s husband Prince Harry, 41. And Mr Vickers believes that Meghan will be “calling the shots” on what she wants to do with her acting career rather than Harry. The royal historian was sceptical of Harry’s influence on what role Meghan may or may not choose. Mr Vickers claimed: “I imagine she’ll do exactly what she wants, regardless of what Prince Harry thinks. Meghan starred in Suits alongside actors such as Patrick J. Definitely.” The hugely-popular first series of The Gentlemen in 2024 was even advertised with the slogan “every heir needs a spare”, echoing Harry and brother William. It featured Ritchie hallmarks such as murky underworld thugs, illegal drugs, sex, bad language and gory murders. Meghan is understood to be “very excited” at the prospect of a role in the show, and Netflix are expected to announce the commissioning of Series 3 next week. Other stars include Vinnie Jones and Joely Richardson. Meghan may also appear with Maya Jama, who is in Series 2 and will return in Series 3, as confirmed by The Sun. The figures have also been moved beside a royal guard in the British Culture Capital zone, as the London venue said it wanted to “mark the occasion”. The museum split Harry and Meghan from the rest of the Royal Family in 2020 during Megxit. Since then, they have mostly been in the Awards Party zone. She put her acting career on hold after marrying Harry in 2018 and said she had begun a “new chapter” — later becoming mum to Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five. Since news of Meghan’s return to acting broke on Thursday, speculation has been rife about what her next role could be. People guessed she could be the new James Bond, or a character on EastEnders, Line of Duty or even the upcoming Harry Potter TV series. She is confirmed to have a cameo in film comedy Close Personal Friends, with Lily Collins and Brie Larson.
