But from barely spending time with one another to Lorenzo’s public antics, split rumours about the pair began to swirl just days after they were crowned show winners. However, they’ve been very defiant and continue to insist all is well – despite not being ‘officially’ boyfriend and girlfriend. Now, insiders tell The Sun that those closest to them are far from convinced it’s a lasting romance, and say it’s more of a showmance. They continued: “A lot of people who worked on the series and have spent a lot of time with the pair of them think they’re just dragging it out until after the NTAs. “Just being around them, you can see it’s not serious.” Whilst their co-star couples were practically joined at the hip upon arriving back to the UK, Julia and Lorenzo were suspiciously distant in the days that followed the series ending. In fact, it wasn’t until they were scheduled to make an appearance on This Morning, the following week, that the couple finally saw one another again. During their time apart, Lorenzo came under fire for liking sexy pics of other women online. He had been spotted liking several snaps of models and influencers upon regaining access to his phone. The situation was branded “embarrassing” by Julia, who later slammed that he hadn’t even taken the time to like her social media snaps. However, Lorenzo defended himself and told how he was still navigating the rules of what is and isn’t acceptable – with his other half seemingly forgiving him. Amid a slew of split rumours, the couple then put on a united front as they finally went on a date back in the UK. They later looked loved-up in snaps from the Love Island reunion bash, despite arriving separately to the event earlier in the day. From there, Julia and Lorenzo shared plenty of loved-up snaps together as they attended a music festival just days later. But our source points out that not being on a dating app doesn’t mean Lorenzo is looking to settle down with Julia. They said: “They’re happy to hang out, post pictures, party together but the general opinion is that it’s not a relationship. “It’s like Lorenzo was never that serious about falling in love or finding a girlfriend – they won, they’re enjoying everything that ‘being a Love Island winner’ brings them – but it’s not fooling anyone.” Split rumours began circulating again for Julia and Lorenzo last weekend when they were spotted at festival All Points East having what appeared to be an argument. Julia had posted a fun TikTok with Lorenzo from the festival, but other attendees caught what was really going on behind the cameras as they filmed the pair looking tense. It later raised eyebrows when Julia shared a carousel of pictures from the weekend online, with not one slide including Lorenzo. The Sun has reached out to Julia and Lorenzo for comment.
