Llegado, who hails from Taguig City, beat 66 other contestants to take home the country’s first crown in 13 years after Mutya Datul pulled off the same feat in the pageant’s 2013 edition in Belarus. Many hats Llegado wears many hats. Born on November 9, 1997, she is a cum laude graduate from De La Salle University, earning her degree in finance in 2018. Before becoming a beauty queen, Llegado had worked in a bank. Despite going down a different path, Llegado did not let go of her business roots, as she co-founded the cosmetics brand Clocheflame in 2021. In 2023, meanwhile, she became a Philippine Air Force reservist. A seasoned queen This is not Llegado’s first rodeo. She is a familiar face among pageant fans, having competed in her first national pageant in 2019 at Miss World, where she was eventually given the responsibility to represent the Philippines at Reina Hispanoamericana in Bolivia. She finished as 5th runner-up. Come 2022, then-24-year-old Llegado set her sights on another major national pageant: Miss Universe Philippines. Llegado managed to top the swimsuit challenge, and wrap up the overall competition as 2nd runner-up. Still, Llegado knew her Miss Universe Philippines journey wasn’t over yet. She returned three years later in 2025 with an even fiercer bid for the crown. It was in Miss Universe Philippines 2025 that she was named Miss Supranational Philippines 2026. Llegado’s road to the top, however, was not easy. Like any beauty queen carrying the weight of public expectations, the Taguig stunner struggled with self-doubt, and acknowledging that she needed to seek help was what allowed her to come back stronger the second time around. “[Asking for help] really helped me focus on the things that I can control [and] to focus on myself and really uplift and enrich who you are. I think that really helped me all throughout this journey,” she told Rappler after her Miss Universe Philippines 2025 stint. Road to Miss Supranational 2026 Come Miss Supranational 2026 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland, Llegado had put on a show-stopping performance that allowed her to achieve her historic feat of bringing home the Philippines’ second-ever crown in the pageant. But it was her winning Q&A response that helped seal her victory. Llegado was asked to talk about the moment she stopped compressing herself to fit other people’s expectations, to instead embrace her true self. “I always believed that we should never fit into a mold. We are perfectly imperfect. I am someone who struggles [with] perfection, but I am here today doing my best and becoming my best version. And here in Miss Supranational, I know I belong. I know a place for me, and this is becoming Supra, above and beyond,” the 28-year-old Filipina answered. Llegado was crowned by Miss Supranational 2025 Eduarda Braum of Brazil. Trailing behind the Filipina winner is France’s Ève Gilles (1st runner-up), Brazil’s Lara Marina (2nd runner-up), Nigeria’s Gift Ndah (3rd runner-up), and Czech Republic’s Karolína Gorylová (4th runner-up). – Rappler.com How does this make you feel?
