Whistleblower’s latest suit dismissed

DENVER — A Colorado court dismissed the former executive director of the Colorado Commission on Judicial Discipline’s complaint seeking to get another state’s attorney general to defend the state auditor in the whistleblower’s separate federal lawsuit against the state, on the theory that Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser cannot accept service of process on account of a conflict of interest. The former director did not show the court that the auditor may, much less must, get an attorney to accept service of the suit and represent Colorado.
