The fourth-seeded Dream had a 10-game winning streak snapped as they fell to the second-seeded Valkyries, 68-64, in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals on Oct. 17. The rock fight featured both teams’ trademark defenses, but offenses struggled mightily on both sides, including a combined 45 of 141 from the field and 11 of 58 from beyond the arc. Valkyries’ supernova forward Gabby Williams continued her brilliant play, finishing with a game-high 26 points, four rebounds and two assists. She was the lone double-digit scorer for Golden State. Allisha Gray, a key guard who entered the WNBA Finals as day-to-day after a minor procedure on her hand, led the Dream with 19 points and six rebounds. Reese, a three-time All-Star forward, posted a double-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds, two steals and one block. The Dream took a five-point lead into the fourth quarter, but went cold, going 2 of 19 from the field, including 0 of 7 from deep. They scored just eight points in the final frame. Atlanta capitalized on the charity stripe, finishing a crisp 18 of 21 (85.7%) while the Valkyries left points on the board, knocking down 11 of 16 (68.8%). Golden State has won four straight matchups against Atlanta this year, including 3-0 in the regular season.Watch Dream vs. Valkyries Game 2 free with DIRECTV Who is announcing WNBA Finals Game 2?Zora Stephenson (play-by-play), Sara Kustok (analyst) and Amy Audibert (analyst) will be the announcers while Meghan McPeak reports courtside. What are the latest odds for Dream vs. Valkyries WNBA Finals Game 2?
