Winup Inkay is one of many Ancient Artifacts you can find in Pokemon Pokopia's Bubbly Basin DLC. Typically, these are found by seeking out sparkling blocks containing Large Sunken Relics and having them appraised by Professor Tangrowth. That said, they're not the only item you can find using this method, so it could be a long time before you actually end up with the Windup Inkay, which is required to build the Muddy Playtime Habitat. That's why you might be interested to know that you can actually find one lying around Bubbly Basin, no appraisal required. Where To Find Windup Inkay If you've had no luck with appraisals, there is a Windup Inkay you can find in a Poke Ball in Bubbly Basin. Unfortunately, it's just the one, so you won't be able to build multiple habitats. However, you can wait for a Pokemon to spawn there and then move it away to free up the habitat again until you're able to build more. If you don't want to wait to find more Large Sunken Relics or have to move Pokemon, you can take a photo of this one and use the 3D Printer in the Pokemon Center to make more, but it will cost you 5 Rare Pokemetals per Windup Inkay. To find the Windup Inkay in the Poke Ball, you'll need to dive to the deepest parts of Bubbly Basin, which also happen to be extremely dark. There are several points on the map where you can reach these depths, but the one you're looking for is beneath the bridge that leads to the playground area. If you've progressed the story a bit, then you may have already met Barboach, who will ask you to dive into this same part of the depths to retrieve a chair for them. Before you can do either of those things, though, you'll need something to light the way. Barboach will tell you to use Lampions, which I also recommend since they don't need to be powered up and are easy to craft, but you can use whatever you feel suits you best. You'll also find a Poke Ball containing some when you reach the bottom of this area too. When you've got a light source ready, go ahead and dive to the bottom of the sea floor. There will be some light already down here from Coral, but place your light sources as needed so you can see around the area. The chair you need for Barboach will be on a platform to the west, but the Poke Ball containing the Windup Inkay will be in the opposite direction, to the east. Go east until you reach an Orange Coral on the left, sitting next to a brick wall. To the left of this coral, there will be some sand you can break through to reveal a little side path. Take this path and follow it until you reach a dead end where you'll find a breakable wall on your right. Through this wall, you'll find a small room with some more glowing coral and Poke Ball containing the Windup Inkay. Now, you can take it and build the Muddy Playtime Habitat using the Windup Inkay, a Towel Rack, and some Floating Logs in Muddy Water. Since everything else you need is next to the water wheel in the dry area where the Pokemon Center is, your easiest option is to build it there. Regarding which Pokemon you might find there, Marshtomp, Barboach, and Inkay all spawn in this habitat, if you don't already have them.
