Where To Find The Starmie Doll In Pokemon Pokopia's Bubbly Basin DLC

If you've been playing Pokemon Pokopia for a while now, then you're probably no stranger to the Dream Islands that Drifloon can escort you to using different Pokemon dolls. Each plush has its own unique Dream Island with unique materials, and some even have the chance to spawn certain Legendary Pokemon. With the addition of Bubbly Basin to Pokemon Pokopia, players now have a brand-new Starmie Doll to hand over to Drifloon. The Starmie Doll will take you to an underwater Dream Island where you can find Pearls, Seashells, and a variety of other Bubbly Basin materials. However, to do that, you'll first have to find the Starmie Doll. How To Find The Starmie Doll Unlike some of the other dolls in Pokemon Pokopia, the Starmie Doll isn't just a doll you'll randomly find lying around. Instead, it is tied to a specific Pokemon's story progression. While playing through Bubbly Basin, you'll eventually reach a point in the game where Popplio needs help building a large building with specific Pokemon. Unfortunately, all the Pokemon that Popplio needs help from also have their own problems to solve before they can help out. Head beyond the staircase to the bridge leading to the playground, where you'll eventually find Totodile waiting for you. Before crossing the bridge, look up and to the left/west, and you should see what appears to be a large cave entrance. Swim over to the cave entrance, and you'll see a bunch of netting blocking your path, with Frillish waiting beside it. Frillish will ask you to help it through the netting so it can access the cave. Once you do, it will ask for your help finding the Starmie Doll. Frillish has the Search ability, so you'll need to use your Dowsing Machine to have it guide you to the Starmie Doll. Make sure Frillish is following you. Otherwise, it won't react to the Dowsing Machine when you attempt to use it. Now, this is where things get a bit annoying. Whereas it probably would've been better for Frillish to go to the lower part of the cave and conveniently lead you to the doll's location with minimal work required, it doesn't do that. Instead, Frillish awkwardly pathfinds to a location on the upper level of the cave that requires you to dig through the entire floor. Since part of that floor is made of harder rock, you'll also need a prepared meat dish to eat that lets you punch through harder materials. If you want to avoid all that, head down the ladder in this area to the lower cave. From there, continue until you reach a room with coral in the center and take a left through the netting and down another ladder. At the bottom of this second ladder, turn left and follow the tracks to a large room. The Starmie Doll is on the far side of this room, where the Star Spotted Rock and orange glowing coral are. You should see a sparkling block here with the Starmie Doll inside it. Bring the Starmie Doll to Frillish, who will hand it back to you after looking at it. Frillish is now ready to help Popplio, and you are now free to take the Starmie Doll to Drifloon and visit the underwater Dream Island.
