Where To Find Manaphy In Pokemon Pokopia

Pokemon Pokopia's first major expansion, Bubbly Basin, is finally here, but that's not the only new addition to the game. Pokemon Pokopia also released a free update at the same time for all players, giving Ditto the ability to swim underwater. If you are playing the expansion, however, you will need to complete this free update before beginning the expansion, as you won't be able to reach the access door or enjoy Bubbly Basin without it. If you've been paying attention to the trailers for this update, then you probably already know that Manaphy is the one who will give you this ability. Unfortunately, Pokopia doesn't really direct you on where to go when you load up the game, so to start this update, you'll need to head to Bleak Beach. Once you're in Bleak Beach, head over to the Pokemon Center, and Professor Tangrowth will have a prompt for you. During this conversation, you'll be directed over to a mysterious island where you'll find Manaphy lying on the beach. Ensure you've updated Pokemon Pokopia before launching the game. If you have, and you still don't see Tangrowth, you may need to make more progress in the game's main story before you can begin this update and expansion. How To Unlock Dive When you talk to Manaphy, it will ask you to help find some food, specifically 5 bunches of Seaweed. Thankfully, you won't have to venture far or rummage through your storage boxes, because there's plenty of seaweed on this very island. All you need to do is make a lap around it, search the areas closest to the water, and you should find plenty of seaweed for Manaphy. With the Seaweed in hand, head back to Manaphy and hand it over. Once Manaphy has been restored to its usual self, you'll have a short dialogue interaction in which Manaphy offers to teach you to dive so you can retrieve a piece of treasure from the underwater cave behind you. Unlike the other abilities, Dive activates automatically when you're in the water and doesn't cost PP. So head over to the cave behind you. Once you're underwater, you should see the bubble appear around your head. Use the R button to swim to the pedestal with the treasure on it. The item you'll receive is a Poke Ball decoration. Before you leave this island, go underwater and swim around the base to find a small cave built into the side. It's different from the one Manaphy led you into and will contain a Human Record that teaches you a new emote! After you've retrieved it, head back out and speak to Manaphy, who will mention that it needs a home before disappearing. You'll be able to build it a home once you've begun Bubbly Basin. From here, your next move is to start the expansion, if you have it. So, head back to the Pokemon Center of Bleak Beach, where you should now find Popplio. If you don't have the expansion, then you're now free to explore the underwater areas of Bleak Beach.
