Where To Find Every Train And Rec Mini-Game Download In Orbitals

Published Sep 3, 2026, 5:11 AM EDT Although Kaitlyn grew up with a passion for both video games and writing, she never imagined she'd eventually combine them into a career. Now, with several years of experience in the industry across Guides, Features, News, & Reviews, Kaitlyn enjoys nothing more than continuing to deep dive into the games she's passionate about and share her findings with readers. In her downtime, Kaitlyn enjoys unwinding with her favorite horror films, despite being a major scaredy-cat. While Orbitals doesn't have any achievements to unlock, there are a few collectibles to find throughout your missions. These collectibles are called Train and Recs, and are essentially co-op mini-games for Maki and Omura to enjoy anytime they're on the ship. There's also a high score leaderboard on the ship to help you keep track of the top scores for each game. You'll need to find the download for each mini-game during your mission, which will then unlock the game once you return to the ship at the end of that mission. Each mini-game will have its own room on the ship, so you should be able to see how many you're still missing at the end of the game if any doors remain blank and locked. Train And Rec 1: Jump Rope Mission 1: While investigating the Derelict Vessel, you'll need to melt and move metal pieces to get through the ship. After the player with the laser breaks the first large blue crystal wall to progress, you'll enter a room with more bendable metal to the left and your objective on the right. Melt and bend the metal to the left to enter a small dead-end hallway with this mini-game computer at the end. How To Play Jump Rope This will unlock the mini-game Jump Rope. During this mini-game, Omura and Maki will need to stand along the perimeter of a room while a laser shoots out from a spinning pole in the middle that you'll both need to jump over. Eventually, more lasers will be added at different speeds and going in different directions. You'll each have three lives, but the game won't immediately end when one of you dies. Instead, the game will only end when both players have depleted their lives. Train And Rec 2: Inputs Challenge Mission 3: After you speak with CH1B1 for the first time on this mission, one player will jump across platforms over a large drill as the other uses the grapple to pull the platforms. Immediately following that, a ramp will need to be pulled and welded down to reach the next floor. At the top of this ramp, go left, and the mini-game download will be tucked into a corner there. How To Play Inputs Challenge This download will unlock the Inputs Challenge mini-game. During this mini-game, Maki and Omura will each have a button to press in the order on the screen. Do not only pay attention to the colors. While the colors do correspond to Maki and Omura as characters, the mini-game will occasionally swap their button colors. Instead, you should focus more on the shape, which won't change. The diamond will always be Maki and the square will always be Omura, and the shape will change to match the color you currently have. The only time the color matters is when the next part of the pattern isn't just a simple shape. It sounds more confusing than it is when you actually play it, and you'll get a sample of this during a mission before you unlock the actual mini-game. That said, for an overview of what each part of the pattern means: Diamond Shape — Always Maki. Square Shape — Always Omura. Pink Color — Whoever currently has the Pink Button. Blue Color — Whoever currently has the Blue Button. Simple Diamond/Square — Just press. Nothing else happens. Two Arrows Pointing Left And Right — The buttons will swap, changing your color, after the person who currently has this color presses the button. Shuffle (Two Entangled Arrows Pointing Up) — Shuffles the order of the remaining inputs. Keep in mind that while most mini-games will have individual scores for Maki and Omura, some games will have a combined score for the leaderboard. Train And Rec 3: Capy Catch Mission 4: While attempting to activate the third energy beam, you'll acquire a tool that unlocks a ground pound ability. After gaining this tool, you'll use it to enter an area with large mine carts that you'll need to place in docking stations. After docking the first mine cart, there will be two ramps off to your right that lead up to a small platform with this mini-game download on it. How To Play Capy Catch To play Capy Catch, each player must get on their designated platform, where they'll be positioned in front of three conveyor belts. Your goal is to move between the right, left, and center lanes to collect Capybaras. Golden Capybaras will appear on occasion and are worth more, but don't pick up anything that's not a Capybara, or you will lose points. At the end of the time limit, the player with the most points wins. Train And Rec 4: Laser Tag Mission 5: While looking for the Reactor Cassette, you'll be forced to board a floating ferry platform that both Maki and Omura need to control by moving side to side. Once you reach the end of this sequence and get off the floating platform, there will be a doorway straight ahead and a path off to the right. Take the path to the right and jump across the platforms there to reach the Laser Tag download. How To Play Laser Tag The Laser Tag mini-game is probably the most straightforward and fun, since it is literally laser tag. Omura and Maki will take turns being the one with the laser while the other runs to avoid being shot. The game takes place in a small room with jumping platforms, and each time the laser changes hands, the time for each player's turn will get shorter. Whoever manages to shoot the other the most times wins. Train And Rec 5: Space Battle Mission 6: While searching for the stolen reactor cassette, you'll pass through a sequence that requires one player to navigate lava-filled rooms while the other creates safe paths from beneath with the water tool. Immediately after the last lava room is clear, you'll take a small elevator up. At the top, turn left and make a complete 180 to find the download at the end of the path there. How To Play Space Battle Space Battle is a competitive mini-game in which you'll target each other to earn your score. Both players will control a ship with a charge shot to fire at the other, and your goal is to destroy the other player's ship more times than they destroy yours. For the most part, this involves running away and trying to get behind the other player to get a shot. To do this, you can use the blue glowing gates on each side of the screen, which will teleport you to another one at random. The game ends once the time runs out. Train And Rec 6: Drone Defense Mission 9: While searching for the engine, immediately after Omora and Maki swap out the Ground Pound and Combustion Engine (Jet Pack) following the 2D platforming sequence, you'll need to weld open a door with a ramp heading up. Continue up, and you'll come upon some stairs. Before you proceed through the door at the top of those stairs, head left, where the person with the laser weapon will need to close platforms for the other player to jump and reach the mini-game download. How To Play Drone Defense Space Battle is a mini-game that will be played on a retro arcade cabinet together and is another where you'll need to work together to achieve a high score. Both players will have three lives each, but once either player runs out, the game will end. Space Battle, despite appearances, is a rhythm game in which you'll need to press B to shield on beat. It's relatively simple, but you'll need to be careful not to get distracted by the other players' timing and focus on both incoming shots toward you and shots for your partner that immediately require a secondary hit from you. The latter will be a shot with a ring around it, so watch for those. There will also occasionally be long stretches where you'll need to hold B, but these are more infrequent until you've reached a higher score. Train And Rec 7: Whack Attack Mission 10: While completing the puzzle in the Secret Gardens that fixes the Bridge and uses the water and grappling hook tools, there will be a point where the grapple player helps make an elevator for the water player. Before the water player goes up that elevator, loop around to the right path, leading to the back of the platform you're on, and you'll find this mini-game download. How To Play Whack Attack This mini-game is inspired by one of the puzzles in this mission in which one player is forced to control a robotic mole. During the mini-game, Maki and Omura will play human whack-a-mole by ground-pounding on the moles that pop up out of the dirt. It might seem logical to spam the ground pound, but a miss makes you disoriented for a moment and wastes time. Occasionally, a massive golden mole will pop up in the center that requires multiple hits to destroy. Each hit counts the same as a normal golden mole. At the end of the time limit, the player with the most points wins.
