The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time - All 100 Gold Skulltula Locations Published Nov 5, 2026, 12:11 AM EST Collin is a Guides Staff Writer at TheGamer who has been writing guides for nearly ten years. He is also a professional game/level designer. More importantly, he's still waiting for a new Ape Escape game to release. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake has finally been released, which means it's once again time to search high and low for shiny spiders. Just like the N64 version, players will be tasked with locating all 100 Golden Skulltulas scattered throughout the lands of Hyrule if they want to complete everything in the game. This is easier said than done since this is a remake and not just a remaster. Meaning, not all of the Gold Skulltula Tokens will be in the exact same spot they were in the original game. So if you want to ensure you grab them all during your playthrough or just want to check to see which Gold Skulltulas you are missing, here is a complete list of every single one, sorted by location. Gold Skulltula Quest And Rewards Unlike other side quests in this game, you can actually start the Gold Skulltula side quest by simply finding them in the world. However, things come into focus once you reach Kakariko Village. When you arrive, look for a massive house on the southeast side of town near the graveyard entrance. This is the Skulltula House, which contains a cursed family who are looking to regain their humanity. To do so, Link will need to break the curse by killing and collecting all 100 Gold Skulltula tokens. These are Skullwalltulas that have an ornate, glowing gold torso that can be found in nearly every single location in the game. Gold Skulltulas are also prevalent in both the past and present settings of the game, with some being exclusive to that time period. When hunting for them, listen for the audio cue that sounds like constant scratching, as that will let you know when you're close. Some Gold Skulltulas you encounter won't be collectible right as you discover them, so you'll need to return once you have a specific item. Additionally, once you unlock the Echo Gem, this will put an icon on the left side of your screen that blinks when you are near a Gold Skulltula spawn point. Even if it's daytime, the gem will pulse and make an audio cue if you get close to where it will spawn at night. I highly recommend always having it equipped if you're hunting for all 100 Gold Skulltulas. There are a total of six rewards that unlock as you progress through this quest. Each one is tied to hitting a specific milestone, and you can collect your rewards by talking to the people at the Skulltula House. Reward Skulltula Requirements 10 Gold Skulltulas Adult's Wallet 20 Gold Skulltulas Echo Gem 30 Gold Skulltulas Giant's Wallet 40 Gold Skulltulas Bombchus 50 Gold Skulltulas Piece of Heart 100 Gold Skulltulas Gold Rupee My recommendation is to bookmark this guide and then use the Jumplinks on the left side of the page. This will let you instantly jump to the specific area you are in, letting you see which Gold Skulltulas you will encounter while exploring that location. Bottom Of The Well Gold Skulltula Locations Like Like Room — Young Link At the Bottom of the Well, once you have the Lenses of Truth, make your way to the northwest corner. There will be a door that leads to a room with several Fire Keese and a Beamos. Kill all of them and use the Lenses to avoid the pitfalls to the basement. Go through the southern door to enter the Like Like Room. Defeat the lone Like Like and you'll find the Gold Skulltula on the eastern wall. Locked Room 1 — Young Link While in the Bottom of the Well, there will be two locked rooms in the central chamber. In order to open the first one, go along the outer path and grab the Small Key in a chest you can see by using the Lenses of Truth along the eastern side where the big Green Bubble is patrolling. Take the Small Key back into the inner area and unlock the door in the back left corner. There will be a Gold Skulltula on the wall you can collect. Locked Room 2 — Young Link The second locked room in the center of The Bottom of the Well can be opened by heading to the far west side of this mini dungeon. Dive under the arch in the water and then climb up to the door. Go inside, kill the Gibano, and then use a Deku Stick to burn away the coffin between the torches. This will reveal a Small Key. Bring this back to the middle, open the other locked room, and use the Leneses of Truth to walk along the hidden path to the Gold Skulltula. Death Mountain Crater Gold Skulltula Locations Death Mountain Crater Entranceway — Young or Adult Link To get this Gold Skulltula, climb to the very top of Death Mountain and go inside the massive entrance. The moment you enter, hang a left and run towards the two wooden crates. Break the farther of the two crates and kill the Gold Skulltula inside. You will be quickly burning to death from the moment you enter the crater, so do not waste any time! Get the token and leave. Bug Hole — Young Link For this Golden Skulltula, progress through the story until you learn the Bolero of Fire from Shiek. Once this happens, warp back to the Temple of Time and swap to young Link. Now, get a Magic Bean and a bug in a bottle. Play the Bolero of Fire and teleport there as a kid. You won't have much time, so quickly look for the bug hole right by the warp point. Follow the river underwater, and at the first bend to the right, the Gold Skulltula will be above the water on the wall. You will be underwater during this, so look for the gold shimmer of the spider and use your Longshot to kill it and acquire this token. Central Tower — Adult Link Now that you have the Longshot, you can snag the Gold Skulltula on the ceiling of the central tower in the Main Chamber. Use the Longshot to travel up the grapple points, then look up to find the Gold Skulltula in a corner. Use your new tool to kill and snag the token! Boss Key Room — Adult Link The final Gold Skulltula in the Water Temple can be found in the hallway where the boulder rolls that connects to the Boss Key Room. Look up and along the wall; behind a small waterfall will be the Gold Skulltula. Use your Longshot to kill it and secure your prize. Zora's Domain Gold Skulltula Locations Top of the Waterfall — Adult Link In the future, when you are adult Link, make your way to Zora's Domain and go to where you participated in the diving mini-game. To the left, you will find the Gold Skulltula clinging to the wall. Use the Hookshot to kill and snag the token. Zora Fountain Gold Skulltula Locations Outside The Great Fairy's Fountain — Young Link You can find the first Gold Skulltula at the Zora Fountain near the southeast corner of the region where the Great Fairy's Fountain is located. Look for a lone tree that has a golden glow near the top. Roll into it to dislodge the Gold Skulltula so you can kill it and claim the token. By The Ruins (Night Only) — Young Link The second Gold Skulltula in Zora River can be found along the southern wall. Look for the submerged arch and wall making a makeshift ramp. Directly across from them will be a Gold Skulltula high up on the wall. Because of this, you'll need either the Boomerang or Hookshot to obtain this token. Skulltula Cave (Night Only) — Adult Link This Gold Skulltula can only be acquired once you get the Silver Gauntlets from the Spirit Temple. Return to this area and go to the southeast corner near the Great Fairy Fountain. Use the Silver Gauntlets to toss aside the rocks, then activate your Lenses of Truth. There will be several invisible Skulltulas throughout the cave. Fight your way to the top, then play the Sun Song to make it night. Over the vines you climbed to reach the top will be the Gold Skulltula. Zora's River Gold Skulltula Locations Bug Hole — Young Link The first Gold Skulltula in Zora's River can be found right next to the Magic Bean Salesman. Directly to the right will be a bug hole that you can drop an insect into. In the original game, this was the only hole that actually didn't contain a Gold Skulltula, but one moved in for the remake! End of the River (Night Only) — Young Link To find this Gold Skulltula, make your way to the very end of the river upstream and jump down to the lowest level. You will see a stone column that is holding up part of the makeshift bridge. Behind the pillar will be the next Gold Skulltula. Zora Domain Entrance (Night Only) — Adult Link In the future, go to Zora's River once you have the Hookshot and make your way to the very end where the entrance to the Zora Domain is. Along the northwest wall, high above, you will see the Gold Skulltula. Normally, you're supposed to get this with the Longshot, but if you stand on the stone railing, you can actually just reach the Gold Skulltula to kill it and take the token. Middle of the River (Night Only) — Adult Link As adult Link, once you've unlocked the Hookshot, return to Lake Hylia. If you plant a Magic Bean in the spot right by the man who sold them in the past, there will be a Magic Bean Flower here in the future. Step onto the flower and ride it to the middle section you originally could reach via a Cucco. Step off the flower onto the raised section and jump across the small gap. You'll find the Gold Skulltula on the wall, so use your Hookshot to snag it.
