Where Love Island USA's Melanie Moreno Stands With Sincere Rhea Today

How Love Island USA's Kenzie Annis Really Feels About Sincere Rhea ComparisonsMelanie Moreno and Sincere Rhea are keeping it chill. After the pair received heat not just from the Fijian sun, but also from the audience over their journey on Love Island USA, Melanie and Sincere are moving forward at their own pace. “We're dating like regular people,” she told E! News at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Oct. 18. “I know people want to see us post and they want to see us, but we've only known each other in the villa for so little time. I think when you meet a guy in real life, you take your time. You don't really post them. You get to know them. When you post a man, it's usually like your boyfriend, you know?” Because while their romance may have started under unusual circumstances—a.k.a. while filming a reality series on a tropical island—Melanie emphasized she and Sincere are normal people. “So, we're just dating, we're taking our time,” she affirmed. “Just know this: I'm happy. know that the show—you saw something else, but there's a reason why everyone on the show has certain people's backs. You know, it's a show.”As the 24-year-old—whose onscreen romance with Sincere was among the season’s most tumultuous—noted, “We're real people. You ask for real people, you get real people. You get real people behavior, and I'm happy. And even if me and him decide to date or we don't decide to date, he's a really good friend of mine. He's also been a person that has helped me while I'm living this new life.” And while she and Sincere take “the normal route” towards a full-fledged relationship, Melanie emphasized the good vibes she and all her loved ones are feeling.Katie Flores/WWD via Getty Images & Monica Schipper/Getty Images"I’m really taken care of,” she said. “I pinky promise you—my mommy's happy, my sister's happy. We're all happy. Like genuinely, I feel so supported in my life right now, and just like I feel really good right now, so that's all I have to say with that. Take it as you will, but I feel really good, and I think that's what I feel like my supporters would want is for me to feel good.” Melanie’s update on where she and Sincere, 25, stand is not a big departure from what the pair shared during the Love Island USA season eight reunion in August. At the time, the two emphasized they were not an official couple. "We are not boyfriend and girlfriend," Melanie said during the cast sit down. "We are kind of just seeing what happens in the outside world. I think he’s building that trust. I think we’re building it. We’re seeing how it goes."As for Sincere, he, too, pointed to the unusual circumstances in which their love first ignited. "We’re on the same exact page as far as, you know, being—it’s not like we met each other at a bar," he said. "Being able to just take it slow and really get to understand each other outside of here." In the meantime, Melanie is enjoying life out and about following the end of her time on Love Island, stunning in a gorgeous black dress at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show.
