What's the story? Why Oasis aren't playing in London among the 42 tour dates

Oasis will hit the road for a huge 42-date tour next year, but there’s one glaring omission from the schedule: London.The Britpop icons have announced a run of shows from May to September 2027, taking them across the UK, Europe and the US.Their UK dates include five shows in Glasgow, 11 in Manchester and six at Knebworth, 30 years after they played two historic nights at the Hertfordshire venue in 1996.Oasis are to return to Knebworth next September, more than 30 years after their initial gigs at the Hertfordshire park, as part of their 38-show Live 27 world tourPAThere has been no official explanation for why London is missing from the Oasis Live ’27 tour.However, the band played seven sold-out Wembley shows during their 2025 reunion, while the new tour focuses on other major UK locations, including Manchester, Glasgow and Knebworth.Knebworth could also serve as the tour’s southern England stop, with the venue marking more than 30 years since Oasis’ iconic 1996 shows. However, this has not been confirmed as the reason for skipping London.The nearest gig for Londoners this time round is well beyond the boundaries of the M25 in Knebworth, a 20 to 40 minute journey by train from King's Cross or St Pancras International.
