Halloween: The Game gives its civilians plenty of unique abilities and different ways to avoid becoming Michael's next unfortunate hobby. Some are built for running and some are out here bringing very specific skills. With different stats and traits to consider, picking the right civilian can make a surprisingly big difference once Michael starts doing his usual silent, murderous lurking. This tier list ranks every civilian based on their overall usefulness, abilities, stats, and how much value they can bring to a match. We've ranked the eight Civilians unlocked from the beginning. We'll add the remaining four once we've reached that point in progression. How Do The Civilian Tiers Work? The tiers range from S to B, with S being reserved for the civilians who provide great value in almost any match. Tier What It Means S Tier Exceptional civilians with powerful traits and excellent overall utility. A Tier Very strong choices who provide significant value, though they may have a few weaknesses. B Tier Solid civilians who can perform well but are more situational or have less impressive traits. S-Tier Civilians Civilian Tier Stats Why They're Here Laurie Strode S 8 Capability, 6 Athleticism, 9 Personality, 7 Resourcefulness Laurie has an excellent stat spread and two extremely useful traits. Spatial Awareness gives her reliable escape information, while Knockout makes helping down Michael considerably safer. Alexis Prucess S 2 Capability, 8 Athleticism, 10 Personality, 5 Resourcefulness Her Capability is rough, but Alexis's good Personality and follower-focused traits make her one of the best team-support civilians available. Marcus Navarro S 7 Capability, 5 Athleticism, 4 Personality, 10 Resourcefulness Marcus's good Resourcefulness combines well with Trespasser and Repair Expert, while Lone Wolf gives him a huge advantage if everyone else goes down. Laurie Strode Laurie is probably the safest all-around pick of the bunch. Her stats are excellent, with particularly strong Capability and Personality, and Spatial Awareness gives her valuable information when she's calm. Knockout is the real cherry on top. Michael staying down longer when you help incapacitate him gives Laurie extra breathing room for one of the most dangerous interactions in the game. She doesn't need an elaborate strategy to be useful, which is exactly what you want from an S-tier civilian. Alexis Prucess Alexis looks a little strange choice because of her two Capability, but don't let that fool you. Her Personality is maxed out at ten, and her traits make her a great support character. Popular is especially good. Followers take 90 percent less damage, gain less Fear, and become more aggressive when protecting Alexis. That's a good amount of value for a civilian who can build around followers. Savior Stimulant also rewards Alexis for helping residents escape, while Smooth Talker makes dispatch calls more forgiving. She isn't necessarily the best solo civilian, but when her kit is working as intended, she can make an entire team of followers harder to deal with. Marcus Navarro Marcus is the civilian equivalent of bringing a large toolbox to a camping trip. He has ten Resourcefulness, and his traits make excellent use of it. Repair Expert helps stretch your repair packs, while Trespasser gives Marcus access to locked doors without needing to mess around with them normally. Then there's Lone Wolf, which gives him a massive boost when he's the last civilian alive. Ideally, you don't want to reach that point, but if Michael turns the match into a one-person horror movie, Marcus is exceptionally well equipped to keep going. A-Tier Civilians Civilian Tier Stats Why They're Here Rachel Calahan A 7 Capability, 5 Athleticism, 2 Personality, 8 Resourcefulness Rachel specializes in directly countering Michael, with strong Bloodthirst damage and Shape Jump prevention. Her low Personality holds her back from S Tier. Tanya Harrison A 4 Capability, 6 Athleticism, 10 Personality, 5 Resourcefulness Tanya is a great team-support character thanks to her maxed Personality and follower damage reduction, while her other traits provide useful information. Rachel Calahan Rachel is one of the best civilians for those who want to make Michael's life miserable. Full Moon is the best trait. It increases the damage dealt to Michael's Bloodthirst by 40 percent when civilians damage or down him. Aura of Awareness also increases Rachel's personal Shape Jump prevention radius, while Sixth Sense gives her a good amount of warning about Michael's breathing during Shape Jump. Tanya Harrison Tanya has a fantastic ten Personality, and her traits make her appealing for teams that rely heavily on followers. Guardian Shadow gives followers ten percent damage reduction, while Hi-Fi provides useful information about Michael when a nearby noise maker is active. Survival Skills adds even more utility by showing the status of nearby phones. B-Tier Civilians Civilian Tier Stats Why They're Here Jennifer Aarons B 5 Capability, 9 Athleticism, 6 Personality, 7 Resourcefulness Jennifer's excellent Athleticism and useful anti-Stalk traits make her a strong escape-focused civilian, but her combat and team utility are less impressive. Eric Dunn B 6 Capability, 3 Athleticism, 6 Personality, 8 Resourcefulness Eric has useful information and equipment-related traits, but his poor Athleticism makes him less forgiving when Michael gets close. Richard Hawthorne B 6 Capability, 7 Athleticism, 9 Personality, 5 Resourcefulness Richard has great base stats and some genuinely powerful traits, but his best bonuses depend heavily on being high or intoxicated, making him less consistent. Jennifer Aarons Jennifer is the civilian you pick when you want to hide. With nine Athleticism, she is naturally well equipped to move around the map, and Ghost increases the rate at which Stalk degrades. Dreamer also makes residents she successfully interacts with harder to stalk. Survival Rage is a nice bonus when things get ugly, as it increases melee damage while terrified. Jennifer is therefore perfectly capable of fighting back when necessary, but her kit feels more focused on avoiding trouble in the first place. Eric Dunn Eric is a useful utility civilian whose biggest problem is that his three Athleticism leaves him less mobile than several of his competitors. Hunters Sense is good for locating faint noises and highlighting nearby escapes, while Fast Fingers improves ranged weapon and flashlight reload speed. Brimstone Fuse makes his firecrackers more effective by extending their disorientation duration. There's a lot to like here, particularly for those who enjoy using equipment intelligently. Unfortunately, Eric's relatively poor Athleticism can be a liability when Michael closes the distance. Richard Hawthorne Richard has one of the more entertaining kits in the game. His nine Personality and seven Athleticism give him a strong foundation, while Hyper Focused can provide enormous information value while high. Chaotic also reduces the Stalk progress applied to him by 5 percent. The problem is Affluent Partner. Getting a 40 percent melee damage increase requires Richard to be intoxicated and high at the same time. That's a powerful bonus, but it's much more specific than the straightforward advantages offered by higher-tier civilians.
