What Is Tel-Rea's Best Build In Star Wars Zero Company

Published Sep 1, 2026, 12:38 PM EDT Collin is a Guides Staff Writer at TheGamer who has been writing guides for nearly ten years. He is also a professional game/level designer. More importantly, he's still waiting for a new Ape Escape game to release. Star Wars Zero Company is out, which means it's time to grab your blaster, throw on some Jedi robes, and miss a battle droid when you have a 95 percent chance of hitting them. This tactical strategy game places you in the role of Hawks, the leader of a mercenary group at the end of the Clone Wars, who is hunting down a dangerous cult for the Republic. Throughout the story, you will encounter all types of rogues, soldiers, and scoundrels looking to join your crew. One of the strongest is Tel-Rea, a Padawan Jedi who is also investigating the Coil. Wielding two lightsabers, Tel-Rea is an exceptionally strong operator who boasts incredible close-range damage and some terrific displacement effects. If you're considering running her on your team, here is a terrific early and late-game build. Tel-Rea In The Early Game In the early game, you will want to lean on Tel-Rea's ability to push enemies out of cover. While she has terrific damage, Tel-Rea can be quite easy to kill if she becomes surrounded and overwhelmed by enemies. Tel-Rea isn't like Trick or Kabb, so don't play her like a melee-focused tank or frontline character. She is much better as someone who can use her high mobility to either target enemies on the flanks or those who are separated from the rest of the group. Because of this, you will want to focus on upgrading her Push and Shockwave abilities, as these allow her to easily move any enemies either around or within her line of sight. Tel-Rea is also fantastic at just instantly killing combatants, since she can push them clear off the map while still behind cover. Use this to your advantage and always try to use your current environment against your foes, as this allows her to quickly eliminate multiple enemies in a single turn. Additionally, moving an enemy with a force ability while they are under a friendly Overwatch will actually trigger this ability, giving your comrade a nice opening to deal even more damage to the displaced target. However, the most important ability of her initial four to keep upgrading is Padawan Training. This gives Tel-Rea both movement and melee critical chance buffs, but critically, also unlocks her second and third Meditation slots. Think of these as weapon mods, but for Tel-Rae as a whole instead of her lightsabers. You will unlock more of these Meditation abilities as you progress through the story, so being able to equip three will greatly increase your survival chances in the mid-to-late game. To start, I recommend the Fast Healing Meditation passive since it gives Tel-Rea some much-needed survivability and won't punish you for being a bit more aggressive with her when needed. Tel-Rea In The Mid/Late Game Once you transition to the mid-game and unlock the Wayseeker Specialization, you will gain access to three new abilities that make Tel-Rea exceptionally strong. The first is an Elegant Weapon passive, which drastically increases her Critical Damage and Critical Chance. This is an ability you will want to consistently increase, since it will drastically improve Tel-Rae's lightsaber damage, as she will constantly be hitting critical hits on enemies. Her second ability is Pull, which does more damage than Push and will drag enemies out of cover towards her. If the cover is destructible, it will rip them through the cover, destroying it and forcing them to take damage. This move is terrific for pulling enemies off high ground or using it to close the gap so Tel-Rea can cut them apart without needing to move. Finally, Lightsaber Throw is her Special Action that has Tel-Rea throw her weapons out in front of her, damaging (and probably killing) any enemy they touch. This move does a silly amount of damage and is perfect for wiping out an entire group of enemies that are arriving as reinforcements. You won't need to upgrade this ability as much as Pull or Elegant Weapon, so make sure to focus on improving those first. As for Meditations, we're going to run Attuned To All Things, Bonded To The Blade, and Visions Of The Past. These provide Tel-Rea with consistent stacks of Harmony while increasing her damage by letting her use her lightsaber attack twice a turn. Harmony is going to be the main way we scale her damage into end-game encounters, so constantly finding ways to either gain or maintain our current amount of Harmony. Your main playstyle is going to revolve around using Push and Pull abilities to remove enemies from cover for your team and then dealing high damage to problematic targets with her lightsabers. While you can lean more into making Tel-Rea a frontline fighter, I really don't recommend it. Focus on her Force abilities and think of her more as a single-target damage attacker. She excels in fighting isolated enemies, so use her to take down enemies such as Super Battle Droids or key Coil enemies like Seers.
