With Denise, who was diagnosed with blood cancer earlier in the year, having been put into a medically induced coma to fight an infection, Jack and Kim were determined to find her a possible stem cell donor for the next phase of her treatment. Darnell, a half-brother, was found via an ancestry website and Jack contemplated getting the man in question’s details at the station. Kim, however, successfully got in touch with Darnell after making a few calls. Darnell was taken aback to learn of Denise’s condition and, after visiting her in the hospital, he was overwhelmed, making a swift exit.
