Sign in to your ScreenRant account Silo season 3 approaches its final chapter as Juliette decides to send two people from her silo to the neighboring one. In Silo season 3's episode 6, she pitches Knox and Shirley as the most capable individuals who should be sent to Silo 17. However, when the Algorithm in Silo 18 declines her pitch, she settles for Patrick Kennedy and Lukas Kyle. In episode 7, Juliette attempts to stay one step ahead of the Algorithm and Camille by sending Kyle and Kennedy out the night before their planned exit. She hopes that by not informing the Algorithm about the two, she will be able to ensure that they will safely reach Silo 17, rescue its residents, and acquire the required information about the Safeguard pipe's location from Solo. Things, however, take a dark turn moments after Lukas and Patrick step out. At first, everything seems fine as the two main characters from Silo look at the night sky and plan to move ahead to Silo 17. Soon, though, Juliette and her crew lose radio contact with them and hear strange gun-firing sounds. Later, even the Algorithm assures Camille that Lukas Kyle and Patrick Kennedy have been neutralized. Kennedy & Lukas Were Seemingly Attacked By The Same “Black Goo” That Took Down Charlotte’s Plane Silo season 3's episode 7 does not disclose what happened to Kyle and Kennedy. However, the fact that they lost radio contact makes it likely that they were attacked by the same "black goo" that took down Charlotte's aircraft in Iran in season 3's early flashback scene. The "black goo" seemingly did not harm her, and only took down the electronic devices on the plane. In a similar way, the "black goo" must have been directed towards Kyle and Kennedy to shut the key functions of their suit, which would have inadvertently killed them. It makes little sense that someone physically shot them dead because Kennedy acknowledged that there was nothing and nobody in sight when they stepped out. Not to mention, even the VR projections in their helmets were not turned on. If someone had been waiting for them outside with guns, they likely would have spotted them. Just like the "black goo" seeped into Charlotte's plane in the flashback, it seems like it came out of nowhere (probably directed by The Algorithm) to "neutralize" Lukas Kyle and Patrick Kennedy. Kennedy & Lukas Are Likely Fine In Silo Season 3 The Algorithm claims that Lukas Kyle and Patrick Kennedy have been taken down. Camille even weaponizes this news to make Juliette feel guilty by implying that she is responsible for their deaths. However, subtle clues in the episode later reveal that Kyle and Kennedy might have safely made it to Silo 17. Believing that Kyle and Kennedy are dead, Juliette and the crew decide to execute their "Plan B," which involves bombing the Judicial. During the bombing mission itself, Martha re-establishes radio contact with a man who seems to be Patrick Kennedy. He affirms, "This is Deputy Calso. Here on Level 17," before Juliette instantly recognizes his voice and acknowledges it is "Patrick." A second voice, which sounds like Lukas Kyle even confirms "the kids are alright," likely referring to the kids Juliette met in Silo 17 in season 2. This development seems to suggest that Kyle and Kennedy did manage to make it to Silo 17. Perhaps Solo saved them from the "black goo" in the nick of time. The Algorithm probably knows this but lies to Camille in Silo season 3's episode 7 to misdirect her. Solo must have also helped Lukas Kyle and Patrick Kennedy use the technology in Silo 17's vault to fix their radios, explaining how they re-established contact with Martha, Juliette, and the team much later in Silo season 3's episode 7. Silo 9/10 In a dystopian future, men and women reside in a vast underground silo governed by strict regulations, believed to shield them from the hazardous world above. The series delves into the complex social order within the silo and the mysteries surrounding their subterranean existence.
