Family holidays topped the list at 43 per cent, followed by watching films together (32 per cent), family meals (26 per cent), car journeys (16 per cent) and playing games (14 per cent). More than three quarters (78 per cent) said who they shared an experience with was more important than where they were or what they were doing. It comes after previous Samsung research revealed just how much of everyday life Brits are now documenting. The average adult takes 1,040 photos and 312 videos every year, while 37 per cent capture more pictures and clips than they did five years ago. Holidays (53 per cent) and family occasions (52 per cent) were the moments people were most likely to photograph or film. And that growing bank of pictures appears to play an important role in keeping memories alive. Most read in The Sun More than three quarters (76 per cent) said taking photos and videos helps them appreciate simple experiences more, while 81 per cent said it makes them feel closer to the people who matter most. More than a quarter (28 per cent) regularly revisit childhood pictures or videos, sparking feelings of nostalgia (48 per cent), happiness (39 per cent), connection (33 per cent) and comfort (29 per cent). The latest research was commissioned by Samsung to mark the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Series, including the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
