With all due respect to John Krasinski's work before the original film, absolutely no one was expecting Jim from The Office to deliver such an utter banger of a horror film. Krasinski's near-silent monster movie delivered on emotion and drama, but he also staged some expert suspense and jolts too. The three entires produced thus far - including 2024 prequel Day One - have collectively grossed over $900 million worldwide, and Krasinski will be back at the helm for the upcoming A Quiet Place Part III. A Quiet Place Part III Has The Hardest Job Of The Entire Franchise Everett A Quiet Place Part III will hit theaters on July 30, 2027, and will mark the closing chapter of the Abbott family's story. Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds will all return as the Abbott clan, as will Cillian Murphy's fellow survivor, Emmett, who debuted in Part II. Exact plot details are a mystery, but considering how successful the series has been, it's unlikely to be the true final instalment. A Quiet Place Part III will also star Jack O'Connell, who previously co-starred with Cillian Murphy in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. A Quiet Place Part III does have an uphill struggle ahead of it. A Quiet Place is the rare example of a series that has arguably gotten better as it has evolved. The first film milked its central premise for all it was worth, while Part II managed to tell an equally emotional story whilst still acting as a taut thriller. Day One, which was helmed by Michael Sarnoski, surprised audiences by being a moving story about a woman (played by Lupita Nyong'o) nearing the end of her life that also happened to be a Quiet Place movie. All three outings have been acclaimed in their own right, and explored the concept from unique angles. Part III not only has to keep the quality high and wrap up the original trilogy, it also has to find another fresh viewpoint on the franchise. Day One Proves The Quiet Place Franchise Can Continue Indefinitely Short of disaster, A Quiet Place Part III will easily take the franchise's collective gross past $1 billion worldwide. It's a smart move to wrap up the Abbott family's plot, but there is no chance producers will end the series there. Sure, Day One technically served as a prequel that showed how the sound-sensitive aliens first invaded, but it only used that as a backdrop to tell a smaller, more intimate story. Day One both feels in line with what audiences want from the franchise, while doing its own thing. Beyond Part III, there are many ways A Quiet Place can continue. A future spinoff could show how the invasion affected other nations like the UK or Japan, or even take a deeper dive into what the aliens are and where they came from. A Quiet Place is a saga that can be produced on a relatively modest budget (at least in blockbuster terms) that are almost guaranteed to be hits. They also have solid critical reviews, so short of Part III fumbling the ball really badly, the series isn't going anywhere just yet.
