Wednesday Celebrate ‘Bleeds’ Anniversary With Deluxe Edition, Delightful New Demo

Skip to main content North Carolina indie rockers introduced “June 2 (Early Version)” into their set-list rotation this year Wednesday Emilio Herce* One year ago this week, Wednesday released their sixth album, the excellent Bleeds. To celebrate the anniversary, the North Carolina band will release a deluxe version of the LP on Friday, Sept. 18. The 20-track Bleeds Deluxe boasts several remixes (including Animal Collective’s Avey Tare on “Carolina Murder Suicide”) and demos. They previewed the collection with the blissful “June 2 (Early Version),” produced by Kenneth Blume (a.k.a. Kenny Beats), which you can check out below. Wednesday began incorporating “June 2” into their set-list rotation earlier this year. They’ll continue touring this month and through the fall, supporting Tyler Childers and Mannequin Pussy on various dates. They also have several festivals booked for early 2027.
