We tried the M&S Christmas collection including iconic 90s crisp dupe and custard cream spread

CHRISTMAS may still be a few months away but Marks & Spencer is already in the spirit after launching its anticipated festive range. This year’s selection includes several never-before-seen products and a few family favourites making a comeback. The Original Gimme S’more Munch Weight: 492g Cost: £10 This year’s Gimme S’more Munch is the best ever Credit: The Sun – Adele Cooke Who doesn’t love a good munch mix at Christmas? I loved last year’s Original Peanut Butter & Jelly Munch so I had high expectations for this year’s smores version – and I can say it’s the best munch mix yet. The mix combines cookie fudge clusters with chocolate- covered marshmallow pieces and caramel buttons. It’s the perfect blend of crunchy and sweet, without being sickly. Percy Pig Festive Fun Weight: 170g Cost: £2 The Percy Pig Festive Fun sweets are going straight in my basket Credit: The Sun – Adele Cooke Percy Pig is back this Christmas with a new festive flavour. As a big Percy Pig fan I was excited to get my hands on this year’s seasonal release. The fan favourite comes in a range of festive shapes including stars, Christmas trees and gingerbread men. The treats have powdered sugar on the outside with a soft gooey centre. They’ll be perfect for tucking into while watching your favourite Christmas films this winter. Custard Creme Spread Weight: 400g Cost: £2.50 The Custard Creme Spread is similar to the Biscoff version Credit: The Sun – Adele Cooke M&S is trying something new with this Custard Creme Spread, which is similar to the cult classic Biscoff Spread. The treat tastes just like the popular biscuit and is creamy without being overpowering. While the treat is delicious, I’m not sure what you’d serve it with. M&S suggest it could be served with croissants, pancakes and on toast but I’m not convinced it will become a cupboard staple or a stocking filler. British Hand Cooked Aberdeen Angus Beef and Mustard Crisps Weight: 150g Cost: £1.80 These crisps are similar to an axed 1980s favourite Credit: The Sun – Adele Cooke Fans of the Brannigans thick cut potato crisps will be racing to get their hands on these British Hand Cooked Aberdeen Angus Beef and Mustard Crisps. The tasty snack has the same strong mustard flavour as the popular 1980s crisps. Meanwhile, at just £1.80 they’re the perfect nostalgic snack and I predict their will fly off the shelves around Christmas party season. Cinnamon Churro Twists Weight: 100g Cost: £1.70 The Cinnamon Churro Twists are a fresh spin on a popular dessert Credit: The Sun – Adele Cooke Fans of the popular Spanish dessert are likely to enjoy these biscuit versions. The crunchy pretzel twists are coated in a moreish cinnamon and sugar blend. At just £1.70 they’re also cheap and would make the perfect addition to a Christmas party table for those with a sweet tooth. Dark Chocolate & Chilli Tortillas Weight: 150g Cost: £3.30 The fan-favourite Dark Chocolate & Chilli Tortillas are back this winter Credit: The Sun – Adele Cooke The much-loved sweet, salty and spicy Dark Chocolate & Chilli Tortillas will be back on supermarket shelves this Christmas. When you bite into the crisp, the spiciness and saltiness of the tortillas blends with the rich and savoury dark chocolate to create a “swavory” flavour. I can’t say I was a fan of the snack but I know devotees will be flocking back to M&S to get their hands on it. Chocolate Cornflake Cookies Weight: 350g Cost: £3.25 The Chocolate Cornflake Cookies are sure to fly off supermarket shelves M&S fans will be eagerly awaiting this year’s Christmas cookies and I can confirm they won’t be disappointed. Last year’s Gingerbread and White Chocolate Cookies were in short supply and this year’s Chocolate Cornflake Cookies are sure to be the same. The cookies blend black treacle, milk and dark chocolate buttons and cornflakes to make this indulgent snack. With every bite you get the perfect mix of crunchy cornflake and soft, doughy cookie.
