Wayne Rooney reveals he’s had nose surgery and shows off results after going under the knife following World Cup

WAYNE ROONEY says he went under the knife last week – after refusing to have surgery on a horrifically broken nose for EIGHT YEARS. Speaking on the first episode of Stick to United, Rooney said: “I had surgery on my nose last week. “I’m actually really lucky I’ve got no black eyes. But I’ve still got two plastic tubes up my nose which are coming out very soon. “I can’t wait for them to come out. They’ve cut here so that’s all stitched. It’s a little bit uncomfortable.” Rooney broke his nose during United’s 3-1 win over Preston in the fifth round of the FA Cup 11 years ago. And the Old Trafford favourite then suffered an even worse injury when he spearheaded DC United to a narrow victory against Colorado Rapids in July 2018. But Rooney sensationally decided not to have surgery until returning from this summer’s World Cup, where he covered Spain’s triumph in the final. I won a penalty. “I broke my nose in that game and then, when I went to DC United, I broke my nose again. That was a bad one. “I needed surgery but I never had it. I put it off. This summer I thought I’d get the World Cup out of the way and I’ll get it done. “I had it done last week.
