Watch: TVK legislator breaks into MGR song after Vijay announces bonanza for MLAs

After Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay announced new vehicles and other perks for all legislators, TVK MLA K Sindhu broke into a rendition of veteran actor-politician MGR’s popular song 'Kodutthathellam Kodutthan' in the Assembly, thanking the Chief Minister for the announcement. The translation of the song goes, "He gave everything he had, he gave it all; For whom did he give it? Did he give it to one person? No, he gave it for the whole town." Speaking in the Assembly, Vijay said the government would provide cars to all MLAs to help them travel to their constituencies and attend to people’s needs. Under the new support, each MLA will also receive Rs 75,000 per month towards the driver’s salary and vehicle-related expenses, while Rs 25,000 per month will be provided to hire an assistant for the MLA’s office.
