THIS was the very awkward moment NTAs host Joel Dommett was left scrambling and forced to fill time after Emmerdale’s big win. The soap cast flocked to the stage to receive their award for Best Serial Drama. Beaming, she said: “Thank you so so much to everyone who voted and thank you to all of our viewers who continue to watch and support the show. And thank you so much,” shouted Katie. The crowd erupted into an applause and Joel made his way into the centre of the group as it became clear there was still minutes left to kill. “Well done. Well done guys, how ya feeling? Final award of the night,” stumbled Joel. He continued: “How you feeling? Jeff Hordley aka Cain Dingle said: “I’m good, are you?” Joel then finally admitted: “I’m good, I’m clearly filling [time]” The 41-year-old then rallied the cast and got them to cheer “come on Emmerdale,” before the show came to a close.
