ONE of the UK’s biggest music festivals had to shut down quickly during a DJ set as a thunderstorm raged. Creamfields started on Thursday evening and will run until Sunday in Daresbury, Cheshire is the largest electronic music festival in the UK. He is one of the members of the YouTube group, The Sidemen, which previously used to boast Britain’s Got Talent judge KSI as one of its members. Vikkstar posted a video of the moment the power was turned off, including from his DJ decks, and emergency light switched on leaving him and the crowd very confused. The DJ was seen turning to someone behind him who seemed to be trying to explain the situation to him but he was unable to hear and looked around as if searching for an explanation. The Met Office had warned of “rapidly changing conditions, with spells of sunshine potentially interrupted by heavy downpours and thunder.” Most read in Showbiz “Those attending Creamfields can expect an unsettled spell of weather throughout the festival,” the Met Office wrote on Monday. “Current forecasts suggest heavy downpours and thunderstorms are a possibility as low pressure becomes established across the UK.” It added: “While there should be some drier and brighter periods between showers, festivalgoers should be prepared for wet weather at times and the possibility of sudden heavy rainfall.” Creamfields headliners this year include, Swedish House Madia, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Fisher and Camelphat.
