Of all the basketball games we’ve seen, that was certainly one of them. La Familia jumped out to an early lead in Game 2 of its three-game series against The Ville, but the Louisville alums got the last laugh on Monday night in Freedom Hall. Montrezl Harrell went for 35 (relatively easy) points as The Ville cruised to an 82-62 win in the first round of The Basketball Tournament. The final score doesn’t truly do this game justice, though — it was an endless highlight reel for UL from halftime on. But the outcome didn’t stop the KSR crew from Rapidly Reacting to what we saw. We have a must-win Game 3 matchup on Wednesday in Lexington that will decide which team gets to stay alive in this $2 million winner-takes-all tournament. There is still hope for La Familia, but some fresh bodies on the roster sure would be nice.
