President Donald Trump is hosting a campaign rally in Dubuque, Iowa, on Sunday afternoon, just days before November’s midterm elections.Trump canceled his plans to attend campaign events in person earlier in the week but later reversed course, opting to continue his nationwide campaign for Republicans. Trump looms large over Tuesday’s elections, as many voters blame Republicans for affordability issues and the unpopular conflict in Iran. Public polling shows Democrats are still broadly unpopular, however, and many GOP operatives hope the party’s acceptance of socialist figures such as New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Democratic Michigan Senate nominee Abdul el Sayed will help Republicans retain control of Congress.Trump also has plans to campaign in Kansas following the event in Iowa.
