Here is a list of areas where classes are suspended for Thursday, August 20, 2026, due to the southwest monsoon MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang suspended face-to-face classes in all levels for public and private schools in Metro Manila and 17 provinces for Thursday, August 20, due to the effects of the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat. The provinces included in the Palace order are Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Occidental Mindoro.
